Miles Quitmann
Miles joined OneVu in 2006 as Commercial Director and has played a vital role in bringing the business from concept to reality. He became MD in 2008.
Miles has a strong entrepreneurial background and has successfully launched and grown niche businesses in the technology and service sectors. He was co-founder of Wishstream Ltd, the UK’s first electronic bill presentation service provider and was responsible for delivering solutions for Virgin Mobile, Orange, AXA PPP, Carphone Warehouse, Thus plc and npower. Following three years of growth, Wishstream was successfully sold to Microgen plc. Miles has over 20 years of experience in the IT software and services sector including seven highly successful years with the Candle Corporation (now part of IBM).
In the late 1990s and away from business, Miles completed a 30,000 mile sailing voyage to Antarctica and back. Whilst down south he achieved a ‘furthest south’ record and returned the 14,000 miles to England single-handed. Miles was in demand on the public speaking circuit delivering lectures that applied his experiences to the corporate world. Miles is a Trustee of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust and an ex-TA soldier with the HAC.
Gurinder
Sumra Gurinder joined Voca, now VocaLink, in 2003 and has been involved with OneVu on behalf of VocaLink since its development and creation in 2003-2004 to his appointment to the Board in early 2008. Following the merger of Voca and Link in 2007 in which Gurinder played a prominent part, his current role encompasses the commercial financial management, planning and corporate and investment transaction activities of VocaLink as it pursues its business strategy for continuing and future commercial growth. Having qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse, Gurinder has gained extensive commercial finance experience, especially in the last 12 years in senior management positions in the telecoms and IT sectors with BT, Vodafone and now VocaLink.
Nick
Masterson-Jones
Nick joined Bacs in 2003 and is responsible for upholding VocaLink’s reputation for service excellence, delivering and maintaining the company’s core technology assets. Nick is responsible for all IT development work and led the award-winning payments platform renewal programme from 2004 to 2006. Nick has over 20 years’ management experience working for high-profile financial institutions such as JP Morgan, UBS, Reuters, Deloitte and Touche, and several major UK banks.
Martin
Wilson
Martin joined BACS in 1999. In his current role, Martin is responsible for VocaLink’s commercial growth including sales, customer relationships and service line and territory development. Following the successful merger of Voca and LINK Network Interchange to create VocaLink in July 2007, Martin continues to drive the company’s expansion into new markets and territories. His industry knowledge and insight has enabled VocaLink to capitalise on its unique selling points, and position itself to deliver a distinctive proposition for the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
Prior to joining the company, Martin was deputy director for IT provision at ITSA, the IT Service Provider to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and was responsible for the management of all the DWP benefit systems.
